The first commandment is realized as billionaire heiress Angelica Vita faces a terminal cancer diagnosis. In her vanity, she refuses to accept her fate and plots to play god herself through an elaborate scheme to undergo cryogenic freezing.
II. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
The Second Commandment is realized when a young woman survives cancer and finds herself worshipping the doctor who saved her. This gratitude grows and mutates into an affair with the doctor, who is married.
III. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.
The Third Commandment is demonstrated through the creation of "God Water". A scheme of pure greed, Lance concocts a marketing strategy to attach God to bottled water as the "ultimate celebrity spokesperson".
IV. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
The Fourth Commandment finds its way into the film when rock star Trevor Evans' son Will, a budding star in his own right, dies suddenly in a car crash. In that moment, Trevor is flooded with the guilt of all of the lost moments he could have had with Will, but shamelessly pushed his own career.
V. Honor thy father and thy mother.
Aaron Rossdale is a man with the weight of his family on his shoulders. Expected to live up the political legacy of his father, he is forced to choose between his family's expectations and his own heart.
VI. Thou shalt not kill.
Detective Jake Russell's vendetta to kill the man who killed his wife consumes him to the edge of madness.
VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Aaron uncovers the truth about Alice's affair, and the baby she had from it. Revealed in the midst of his first political campaign, their relationship is thrown into turmoil. Alice, wanting to make amends, turns to I AM and faces her past the only way she can: with complete honesty

Lance is the master thief... he steals his inheritance, his girlfriend's love and joy, and convinces a grieving rock star to steal his dead son's song in order to profit from the windfall sales.

Spenser sees his adulterous past used against him as blackmail. He's forced to lie in his testimony at the Angelica Vita hearing to avoid having his secrets go public.

Aaron finds himself empty and alone after pursuing his political career over his love for Alice. In the end, he discovers he can't covet the admiration of the masses and the titles of high office -- instead, he follows his heart.
